Licorice's Story...
Licorice is a Heaven Can Wait success story. Found as a stray and brought to the pound, this poor little guy was so terrified he would do nothing but cower in the back of his cage. His foster mom has spent weeks giving him lots of love and care and now this kitty who would once run for the hills at the sound of any noise has blossomed into a wonderful playful cat who loves attention. Licorice now spends his days giving the other 4 cats in his foster mom's household a run for their money and squeaking for attention. Yes, he squeaks most of the time instead of meowing! Licorice would benefit from a home with someone willing to be patient with him and without little kids as the fast movements would still scare him a little bit. He would do ok in a home with other cats and dogs.

In addition to being neutered and up to date on all shots, Licorice is microchipped, has been tested for FeLV/FIV, wormed, checked for ear mites and treated with flea meds. Please consider giving this loving boy a home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Licorice, a Muskegon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muskegon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muskegon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muskegon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muskegon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muskegon paves the way for another one to be saved.
