Zero (foster care)'s Story...
So a little about Zero. He is 4-8 years old, but very active & a great cuddler when he settles. Loves walks and as soon as you grab the leash becomes exited & happy to go out. He does not mind cats at all, just ignores them or groom them, the cat could be running around & he doesn't even mind at all, but as I always say, slow introductions make great friends. He LOVES other dogs & jumps all around in excitement, loves playing chase with them, but again, SLOW INTRODUCTIONS, dogs can be like humans & are choosey. At this moment it will be preferable for him to go to a home without other dogs since he had luxated patellar surgery & he is in mobility therapy right now. He is recovering satisfactorily, he needs therapy for four weeks(wich we are working with) to get him to use his leg again. He gets twice slow five minute walks & two five minute knee therapy.
So far, he has LOVED everyone he has met, kids, adults, dark skin, light skin, tall & short. He likes to rub on people like a cat & loves to "beetledance" with a smile! He would be awesome with kids over 8 since he is a goofball & believes he belongs in peoples lap! He has meet kids under 8 & has been really good with them, no jumping or mouthing. He is house trained and will whine if he needs to go out. We have had no need to place him in the crate, loose in the house without supervision has been awesome! When I go to work he goes straight to his bed, when I come back he greets me all happily. He respect beds & sofas, just climbs if you invite him, but LOVES following you around & being loved. He LOVES Nyla bones, toys & OBSESSED with treats. With him loving treats it has been fast to teach him "sit", "down", "leave it" & "wait" commands. We do possitive reinforcement training & he is also learning them with hand signals & voice, this is a plus! Even thou he is an adult dog he is starting to have his Puppy Hood now.
Over all, Zero is an absolutely perfect dog! He will be a great addition to any house/family. He has food allergies, so it is recomended he stays with his grain free food. New owner will need to understand he is just an allergic dog. I have been feeding him grain free food with salmon oil supplement. His fur has become shinny & growing slowly.
He also comes with a clownish attitude! He snores like a human & has the cutest Yoda ears!
He is up to date on vaccines, neutered & microchiped. He will be adopted trough ACCT.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zero (foster care), a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
