Brownie's Story...
Brownie is an amazing little girl. She came to us very sick, and had to be rushed to the emergency vet and put on oxygen. With a horrific respiratory infection and heart disease, she struggled to survive through the night. She now has imporved significantly, and she is the sweetest rat we have here. She loves to kiss and lick people, and will cuddle for hours. She must have her Furosemide medication twice daily. Other than that, she is a happy, healthy, and super sweet little lady. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Lakewood Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Lakewood, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Lakewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
