Gracie's Story...
Sweet Gracie is a yorkie / schnauzer mix approximately 12 weeks old. Words cannot describe what a sweetheart Gracie is. She came into Animal Control as a stray and is currently in foster care. Gracie gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She especially loves the large dogs in her current foster home. Gracie's favorite place is in your lap. She's a real love bug and great snuggler. Gracie is blind in one eye, but this doesn't slow her down one bit. Her vision in the other eye is perfect. Gracie is up to date with vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She is available for adoption through Friends of the Animals, Baton Rouge. Her adoption fee is $125.00. If you would like to meet sweet Gracie, please contact her foster mom at pdcarson@cox.net or 225-505-9831.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Baton Rouge Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
