Scout (Pending)'s Story...
Scout is a fantastic pup, about 7 months old, who was discovered in a high kill shelter on a stray hold. It's hard to believe that someone was not looking for this sweet boy. Without tags or a microchip it was impossible to find his owners so he was rescued and placed in a loving foster home with another dog and two wonderful children to love on.

Scout is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and current on heartworm and flea and tick preventative. He will be ready to join his new family in April.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout (Pending), a Carlisle Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie puppy from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
