Hey I'm 'Oliver'. I am a 3 and a half year old big orange cat. I was recently dumped out of a van and have found my way to the shelter. Life is good so far! I'm having fun hanging out in the adoption room with my new feline friends. I'm a pretty laid back guy. On any given day you can find me lounging around. I love naps, and I'm not too particular where I take them. I can get comfortable anywhere! Next time you come to the shelter look me up!! I'd love a head rub from you! Better yet, bring me some wet food, it is my favorite treat! See, I'm easy to please! Love and treats is all I need to be a happy cat! Come meet me soon!

About Our Shelter...
We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...
The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...
Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
