Are you looking for a best friend? Meet Piper! Piper is a 2 year old Chihuahua and only weighs around 6 lbs. Her best friend in the house is a 3 year old little boy. Piper likes to jump into his lap after his naptime and she greets him like she hasn't seen him all day--then she curls into a little ball and snuggles with him. They are TV buddies. She is very sweet and loves to give kisses. She also loves belly rubs! Her foster family says that she is a snuggle-bunny and is very low maintenance. She will lay under a blanket on the couch with you and sleep most of the day and she loves to snuggle next to you in the bed at night (although she will also sleep in crate if that's what you prefer.) She doesn't tremble and shake like some small dogs. She is potty trained and is learning to be comfortable with the families big dogs. She thinks that cats are fun to chase so she would do best in a home without them. She enjoys being in the backyard with the foster family on nice days. If you would like to fill out an application and meet PIper, please email INFO@FORrescue.net. She is located near Huntsville, AL.
Piper will be fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped before her adoption. She is also current on heartworm and flea preventative.
Rescue Group Info...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
We have many wonderful dogs looking for FORever Homes!
Our adoption fee covers their complete age-appropriate vetting, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea prevention, and full medical records.
Please email us at info@FORrescue.net for an application to begin the adoption process.
