Find a pet to adopt
My name is Skipper!
Facts about Skipper
- Breed: Beagle
- Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
- Age: Adult
- Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
- Sex: Male
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
dob: ~February, 2006
adoption fee: $150(includes all vetting and transport to NJ/NY area any 3rd Saturday from April>October).
Skipper was rescued when his past owner was diagnosed with cancer.
He had adopted Skipper from a local 'high-kill' Animal Control when Skipper was ~2yrs old. Apparently, Skipper has always been an outside companion, never allowed inside, like he has now, in his foster home.
What his history included before he ended up at the Pound, only Skipper knows for sure, but we suspect that it was a lonely life, probably spent most of his life as a 'yard ornament'.
Skipper is a sweet boy. Rather shy, at first, but would make an excellent companion for a single person or retired couple. He doesn't require alot of exercise, so a fenced-in yard or an agreement to always walk him on-leash would be sufficient for his elimination/exercise needs. He wants to trust and live a life of peaceful quality. He's got a kind soul and deserves a chance at real love and devotion.
If you have a void in your life, please consider opening your heart and home to be the 1 true thing that was genuine in his boy's life. Skipper needs someone he can call his very own.
Thank you, for considering adopting a rescued companion animal.

**Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue**
We realize, in a logical perspective, that we are not going to be able to broadly change the World.
But, we know we can be an advocate of change.
We know that we can't rescue every animal in need, but little by little, we can help one animal at a time.
We know we CAN make a difference!

Our goal in rescuing and re-homing animals is to provide them with a loving home for the rest of their life.
The adoption fee covers their medical costs associated with the animal, medical and daily care during their foster period and transport.
All animals adopted by our group MUST BE spayed/neutered prior to finalizing the placement. Most of H4S's adoptibles are in foster care
in Rutherford Co, NC and will be transported to your area on the 3rd Saturday of each month, after age-appropriate quarantine is complete
and being spay/neutered and micro-chipped.
Your signature below states that you understand any future medical costs are your responsibility and we have made full disclosure regarding our & our vet's knowledge of the health of the animal.
Sometimes, for reasons beyond anyone's control, the adoption does not work out.
In this case, the animal must be returned to Howlin4Spirit CARes at the adopter's expense.
Howlin4Spirit drives transports along the eastern seaboard as far as NY state from April>October.
From November>March, we use a bonded commercial transport service which requires an additional $125 to help cover their transport fee...any additional expense(>destinations beyond NYC) will be covered by H4S CARes.
Adoption contributions are not refundable, for any reason.
