Soko's Story...
Hi! My name is Soko and I am a very cool black and white long haired cat. Although i am friendly with other cats, i would prefer to be the only cat! Why, you ask? Because I am a very clean boy and I would rather not share my litter box. I know it's silly but that would make me happy. I like people a whole lot and would like a nice quiet family to settle in with. My adoption fee is $50 and that includes up to date vaccinations, deworming, rabies, and neutering. I am also declawed. If you would like to adopt me, email adoptions@starnorth.org for the application or call 218.245.3732 for more information during adoption hours Mon, Tues, Thurs 5-7 and Saturdays 12-3.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Soko, a Coleraine Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Coleraine, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Coleraine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coleraine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coleraine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coleraine paves the way for another one to be saved.
