Grover - CINCINNATI, OH's Story...
GROVER IS NOW BEING FOSTERED IN CINCINNATI, OHIO. YOU CAN MEET HIM THERE.

My name is Grover and I am a 6 year old Great Pyrenees/Cattle Dog (or Australian Shepherd) mix. My coat isn't as long as a Pyrenees, and I have the coloring of the Cattle Dog. I am approximately 29 inches at the shoulders. I am probably around 100 pounds or more right now but could stand to lose a little weight. My owner lost her home, so Halo's Haven took me in.

I am a very nervous boy and need an owner who understands the Guardian breeds. I am very distrustful of strangers. I am a woman's dog and warm up to new women pretty quickly. I do not trust men and will take a very long time to warm up to a man. Due to my fear, I will nip if someone is in my space that I do not feel comfortable with. Due to this reason, I cannot go to a home with children. My ideal home would be with a single lady who wants a dog who will be her constant companion and protector.

I prefer female dogs as companions and I LOVE to play with them! I am the boss though, so as long as someone lets me be the boss we'll get along just fine. I am good with cats, and horses as well. I am house trained, and do well in the house as well as outside.

I am neutered and UTD on all vaccinations.

My adoption fee is $25

We require all adopters to read a document before filling out our application, you can find that here: http://www.dogsindanger.com/HowToMakeAdoptionWork.pdf

ADOPTION INFO: Anyone interested in adoption must first fill out an application. We will also send you a document about adjusting to life with a rescue dog, and require you read it and acknowledge it prior to sending us back your application. Once approved, we will set up a time for you to come out and meet the dog and us. Animals are in a foster home, and someone is usually always available to show them to you.
