My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy is a stunningly beautiful female of about 8 months old, and is a purebred Weimaraner. She is currently being fostered with several other dogs, and gets along well with all of them, young and old, big and small!

Daisy spent the first part of her young life chained to a  dog house in a back yard. She was left alone all day, and when our volunteer went to meet her, she knew that she could  not leave without her. Her only toy was an empty plastic Drano bottle that someone had discarded. She had never been inside a house until that very first night that we took her into foster. She loves people and does well even with large groups of people. She is a true snuggler and even though she was so neglected as a puppy, she is making up for it now by giving and getting all the love that she possibly can!

Like most young Weimaraners, Daisy will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. She is not a dog who can be left alone for hours and hours. She does not bark, but she is still a chewer. She is learning to like the crate, and sleeps all night in the crate. She needs someone to give her the love and attention she needs, including sleeping in the same room with a family member. She has been so neglected in the first part of her life, we promised her that we would find her a very special home that would treasure her.

Daisy  is a youngster and athletic so she will also need regular walks and trips to the dog park or dog beach, and really needs at least one canine playmate, so she can wrestle and play and wear herself out!

Daisy will need a lot of love and reassurance as she adjusts to a new home. It would be ideal if someone was home with her most of the time, as Weims just don't like to be alone! She would love a home where she could be with her people and spend a lot of time getting to know her new family.

Daisy is spayed and microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Her adoption fee is $400. If you are ready to open your home and your heart to Daisy, please email WeimLuvvr@aol.com and ask for an application.
