Mota's Story...
I am a female Poodle/Chihuahua mix. I am about 11 months old. I am spayed, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on flea/heartworm prevention. My adoption is $200.

I was rescued from animal services where I was given up by my owner. No one wanted to adopt me because I had a “cherry eye”. This is when the tear gland in the eye protrudes. Thank goodness the rescue was able to take me out of the shelter and have it surgically repaired.

Since I am still a puppy, it is a requirement that I attend training classes here at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs. Classes are one hour, once a week for six weeks. The cost of the classes is only $89 for all six sessions!

Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-5 and Sunday from 12-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mota, a Orlando Poodle (Miniature)/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Chihuahua for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
