Harley's Story...
Breed(s): Australian Cattle (Red Heeler) Estimated Age: 5 Months Estimated Weight: 19.8 lbs Temperament: Very Friendly, Calm, Obedient, Cautious, Attentive, Playful, Patient Crate-trained and mostly House Trained Great with Dogs, Good with Cats (doesn't seem to care they are there. Good with Kids?: Unknown, but he is very gentle with everyone else. Harley is a very patient puppy. He does wonderfully with other dogs and is gentle with cats without being invasive. All this little boy wants is love and attention, and any time is a good time to cuddle. Harley is still learning how to play, but doesn't mind chewing on a squeaky toy for a while if you're busy doing chores. He is very friendly and loves to go up to everyone, sit down, and wait patiently to be petted. He walks fine on a leash and is crate / potty trained with no accidents. He gets bored so having something for him to do or chew on is encouraged. The $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Please complete an adoption application at, or email if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a San Antonio Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
