Misty's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Misty's Story...
Lab/German Shepard mix. She looks more like a Lab physically, but has a German Shepard marking on her tail. She has a petite frame for her breed, but is a strong girl.

Estimated Age: 3 years old.

Estimated Weight: 42 lbs.

Temperament: Quiet inside the house. Will bark at what she perceives as potential danger or strangers. Loves attention and affection. Also loves tummy rubs. Mostly sweet and loving.

Crate or Housetrained?:

Misty is both crate and house trained. She relaxes in the crate regularly and sleeps in the crate over night. She will stay in the crate while we're out of the house. She also has a daily potty/walk routine. Misty also responds to the "sit" command and is being trained not to get on the couches and beds. She is a quick learner.

Good with other dogs or cats?:

Misty currently lives with two small dogs and gets along with them very well. She did not utter a single bark the first day she met them. She loves to play/rough house with them, but knows her limits because of their size differences. She also naps with the little dogs as if they're her children.

Good with kids?:

Misty spent one weekend with my 15 month old niece. Misty was great with the baby. My niece walks all over the house and Misty was careful not to collide with the baby. Misty was fully aware of my niece's small delicate size. Misty has a natural motherly instinct.

The $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Please complete an adoption application at www.sarocks.org, or email adopt@sarocks.org if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a San Antonio Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
