Ruff Ruff! My name is Ruby Tuesday
Ruby Tuesday's Info...
|Breed:||American Pit Bull Terrier Mix||Color:||Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Female|
I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Ruby might challenge your expectations of a pitmix! Her sweet and caring smile will instantly take you away, as it has us. Ruby clearly has a desire to develop a strong bond with the right, trustworthy owner. She was a rescue, but it quickly became clear to all of us that she had never had the opportunity to show how great a girl she could be to a loving owner! She has already figured out crate training and is house broken. We've been able to expose her to plenty of other dogs so that her social skills can be rounded out. Zoey is her best friend and they would love to be adopted together. We dare you to meet Ruby, and play a game of tug, and TRY not to take her home. A fenced yard would be great, not to mention that her perfect energy would make her a wonderful jogging companion and set to snuggle on the couch afterwards! Her adoption fee is $250. She is up to date on all vaccines and spayed. Ruby needs guidance and love, and in a short time, she will prove to be the treasure you've been searching for.

Rescue Group Info...
Rescuing and Training Dogs for Service, Therapy and Companionship. Many excellent dogs are left in shelters by the owner because the dog is hyper or destructive. These dogs are usually highly intelligent and therefore need a job. By bringing these dogs into our program, we give the dog a home through training the dog and new owner. Also this gives shelters space and resources to care for dogs that are neglected and abused. Many good dog owners cannot afford to purchase a highly trained dog. We rescue the dogs, train them and adopt the dog out to people who need a service dog, a therapy dog or simply an excellent companion dog. The dogs listed on adopt a pet are companion dogs. Unless the dogs is a puppy, our dogs know basic obedience, have been house trained, socialized, neutered/spayed and have all shots. All of these dogs came from a shelter or another rescue. We are a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization. We rely on donations and volunteers.
We hope to build a kennel in 2013 in Putnam County, Indiana. At that time we will have open hours. We will offer training classes for owners and dogs that have been rescued by us or another shelter or rescue. In the meantime, we have a small kennel on our farm. Anyone is welcome to visit by appointment. Also, we deliver all of our dogs to their new homes. As we grow, we hope to hold adoption events. Most of our communication is through our Facebook page Companion Dogs Plus.
Fees begin at $125.00. Most of our dogs are adults and have been spayed/neutered. However, when we adopt out a puppy we require that the dog is spayed/neutered at 6 months of age. Puppies have a higher adoption fee because it includes paying for the spay/neuter in advance. We help the new owner set up an appointment with their vet in advance and transfer the funds directly to the vet. We do require a follow up regarding spay/neuter. Each dog and each human have different needs, our goal is the find a perfect match and support the owner through education to create a forever home for the dog.
