Cannelloni's Story...
This sweet boy was separated from his sister and relinquished by owner after ten years. During the day he has been keeping a low profile, but has been lighting up the night with his brilliant white coat as he explores and watches from a short distance cats playing in the hall like a shy kid on his first day in school. Cannelloni is a gentle fellow who craves attention from people and gets along well with cats, we anticipate he will make many friends at Tree House. He has mild hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that requires medication, but is otherwise in fine health. Please give Cannelloni extra love, attention helps boost this pink nosed cutie’s esteem. Cannelloni was born in 2000.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cannelloni, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
