BRUISER - ADOPTION PENDING's Story...
(5/22/13: THIS IS AN UPDATE TO A PREVIOUS POSTING WHICH CONTAINED SOME INCORRECT INFORMATION.)

Say hello to our boy BRUISER. Bruiser is a roughcoat (longhaired) Saintly boy who came into Rescue along with his mother following the serious illness of his human companion. He's four years old, neutered, housetrained, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm-negative. Isn't he handsome?

He's young and energetic and playful but can sometimes be a "bull in a china shop." And that tail is guaranteed to clear a coffee table with one swoop. Initially a smidge shy, he is quick to trust and will roll over on his back for tummy scratches. Bruiser does well with most other dogs but he is unknown with cats. He's a smart boy who knows a few commands (though like some Saints he can sometimes be selectively deaf) and he wants to please.

We want Bruiser to have a traditional fenced yard, perhaps a canine companion (female only, please) and maybe some kids. Kids should be over age 10 or so.

Don't miss the opportunity to meet this dynamite boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BRUISER - ADOPTION PENDING, a Sudbury St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Sudbury, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Sudbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sudbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sudbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sudbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
