Althea's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Althea's Story...
Cuddly, sweet and gentle but with a mind of her own. Althea is an older girl (11 years) and as such would rather not put up with roudy kittens. She is a Queen in her own right and expects the privileges of her rank. She tolerates well the lower class peasant masses but holds herself above with dignity and grace.

FurEver Friends holds adoption events EVERY SATURDAY & SUNDAY from 10am-5pm at Petco (825 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC). Visit some of our cats and kittens all week at the same Petco and also Pet Supermarket (244 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC). Please contact us to meet a specific cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Althea, a Asheville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Asheville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Asheville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheville paves the way for another one to be saved.
