My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR Welcomes Teagan into the Safety of the Rescue!
Teagan was rescued from a high kill shelter of a major metro area, stressed by kennel life, she was not showing well, while friendly with the kennel staff, she loves people, she was quickly running out of time and needed a helping hand, that's when IDGSR stepped in to say, we would help her. She is still under evaluation and assessment having just arrived, we do know she is not cat friendly at all, so will need a family who doesn't have any feline companions. If you would like to apply for Teagan, please do so at:

UPDATE ON TEAGAN: After testing Teagan in multiple situations here's the latest we have on this sweetheart, while we know she is not cat friendly, she's great with all other dogs, she is good with women and children, however we believe that due to the scar on her nose and likely much abusive treatment in her young life, that Teagan is a victim of domestic violence. She was afraid of men and so far with a couple weeks of cheese and bacon, and pats on the head, she has warmed up to him, lets herself be petted and she gives my husband kisses now. She will take a special adopter who can understand and have patience to continue to help her understand that not all people are like the previous owners cruelty towards her, we believe the scar on the bridge of her nose is evidence of mistreatment.
She is wonderful and loving to women and takes a little more time to warm up to men. We have had a few other females who too have been victims of domestic violence and it took a few months to help them overcome their fears, but with patience and a loving home to help them overcome, success can be made. If you can help to be the one in Teagan's life to help her overcome the 'something terrible happened to me' events in her life', please fill out an application and we would love to talk to you. Teagan is a wonderful young girl and we know she will successfully find trust and love again, she's all ready on the road to healing, knowing that she will never find pain and suffering and cruelty at the hands of some hateful individual. She will benefit from standard obedience as is the case with any of our rescued dogs.
