Herbie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Herbie's Story...
Herbie is an 8 1/2-year-old fellow who is a real cutie. Herbie originally came to Beagle Buddies after having been confiscated for cruelty. His owners tied him to a tree 24 hours-a-day. However now he has truly learned what the good life is and is ready to find his new forever home. Herbie is a real hoot! He is super friendly, great with kids, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He walks very nicely on a leash and behaves when he sees other dogs. He is a mellow laid back dog, but does have a playful side as well. Herbie does not bark or dig when he is outside, is house-trained and in very good health. Contact us about Herbie!

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Our adoption fees are $100 if over 5 years, $125 if younger than 5 years but older than 1 year, and $175 if younger than 1 year. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Herbie, a Indianapolis Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
