Ninja's Story...
Wanted! Retirement home for adorable little dachsund! Ninja was abandoned at a kill shelter and was being kept in an outdoor run (in the winter!) when the rescue came and got him out of there! He is a mini dachsund...8 lbs and is estimated to be in the ten year old range. He has clear eyes and no cataracts so the vet felt that was a best estimate. Ninja is a velcro dog! He will do best in a quiet home without a lot of traffic and activity. He is NOT a nervous little dog but he does alert you when someone unfamiliar comes in the home. He likes nothing better than to sit in your lap and sleep in bed with you! Ninja is being neutered this week and it should help some with his marking where other dogs have been. He is also getting a complete dental as his teeth have not been cared for in his entire lifetime (it appears.) Ninja has some hair loss on his tail and belly that is permanent and likely due to his age. He is so cute, and will follow you from room to room! He rides in the car fine but is nervous in there likely due to the fact that he had been dumped off. Ninja is fine with cats and dogs and doesn't mind sharing his doggy bed with others at all Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ninja, a Hagerstown Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
