My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Ross. I'm a 3 year old Retriever mix weighing in at 45 pounds. I'm from a rural shelter in Kentucky. I came to the shelter because my dad went to the hospital but never returned.

My name was originally Zombie but I didn't like it so much- it seemed to conjure up images of something bad or evil. I'm quite the opposite. I'm very laid back, free with my kisses, walk great on a leash, get along well with other dogs, housetrained, crate trained and never complain about anything. What more could anyone ask for in a companion?
I spent many months in the shelter before coming to BlueMoon. I'm thinking maybe it was because I'm not the most handsome guy? I've heard that beauty is only skin deep and I think this applies to me. I may not ever win any beauty contest but I more than make up for it with my sweet demeanor and wonderful temperament.

I know that I would make a wonderful sidekick, friend and life long companion if you would just give me the chance. Thanks for reading my bio and hope to meet you soon.
