Cyclops's Story...
Cyclops is a super laid back boy that takes everything as it comes and with a good attitude. At adoption events he has been carried around barking dogs while laying on his back, licked in the face by an unknown Rottweiler, and passed from person to person without any problems. He enjoys sitting with you on the couch and doing nothing, and he loves to sleep on the bed, especially on your pillow. In the mornings he loves a good cuddle, and if you pat him just right he will chirp a little as he purrs and headbutts you. Still a young man, born in July of 2011, he does enjoy a good play with a laser, chasing that up walls and all over the house, and his next favorite toy is a feather teaser, leaping high in the air to chase it. Cyclops is also a patient boy, allowing other cats to go ahead of him when playing or getting treats, eat out of the same bowl, and cuddle up to. He has been in and out of the same foster home since he was about a day old, having been adopted and returned because he got on counters and turned over a trash can to get some raw meat scraps. His fosters have always been able to carry him like a baby, and he loves belly rubs. He has been raised around cats and dogs, and his easy going attitude has seen him adapt to any new foster of either species without a problem. This sweet boy would love to find his forever home, and share his relaxed attitude around.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cyclops, a Edmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
