Lightnin''s Story...
Meet Lightnin’ - Lightnin’ was spotted in March 2013 roaming in Houston’s East End lost and confused but no one stopped to help him. He eventually made his way to Martini Hardware where he walked right in with a customer. He made his way to the office, introduced himself and laid down to rest for the remainder of the day. The Martini family being dog lovers and already having numerous rescues agreed to foster this sweet boy until his forever home is found.
Lightnin’ is approximately 2 years old and weighs 70lbs. He’s been fully vetted and neutered. He is heartworm positive but is being treated. He knows basic commands, sit, shake, and walks great on a leash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lightnin', a Houston American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
