Jocelyn's Story...
Jocelyn is a 1 year old Pit Bull mix. She was brought to the shelter as a stray in hopes of finding a new home to call her own. Jocelyn tested positive for Lyme Disease and has been treated for the condition. She also has some ligament damage in her hind legs and has had one surgery so far. Once she heals from that surgery she will need a second surgery. Jocelyn needs special care and may have long term medical expenses that an adopter will need to consider. Jocelyn is full of playful energy and wants to be the center of attention! She loves to play with toys and also likes to give kisses! Can you give Jocelyn the loving forever family she deserves?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jocelyn, a Johnstown Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Johnstown, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Johnstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Johnstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Johnstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Johnstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
