Charlie's Story...
This sweet gentleman is patiently waiting for his forever home. He is a quiet easy going guy. His fosters says he has not had one accident while visiting her house. He will need grooming every 4-6 weeks to keep his coat looking its best as well as daily brushing. Right now his coat is grown out and so soft it is like satin. He is HW positive but doesn't have any symptoms so should not be difficult to treat considering his young age. He is around a year old. He gets along well with other dogs and all people big and small. He is a purebred mini-schnauzer weighing in at just under 20lbs. Contact Dana daykahn@gmail.com for information on this wonderful boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
