Brittney- Adopted's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Brittney- Adopted's Story...
Poor Brittney, she's back in rescue with us after a year because her adopter is dying of lung cancer. He was a truck driver, so she was almost always with him, and has been very spoiled, and loves to go for rides.
We really don't know what her breed mix is, but with her coat texture, coloring, and size, corgi/cairn terrier is as good of a guess as any. She only weighs 20 pounds.
She is an senior dog, 10-12 years old, but she's a very healthy dog, who's teeth are even still in good condition, and she has no arthritis, so she should have quite a few years left in her.
She's a total sweetheart, she loves to be held and petted, but is also just as happy to spend her days lounging on the couch (this is a dog that will get on furniture, no way around it). She's a very happy dog, who as long as she gets a little attention, is quite content with life.
She's a calm, laid back dog, who with her slightly wirey coat, stays very clean, she's a very low maintenence dog.
She ignores cats, and would do well with children old enough to understand she's an older dog, and doesn't like rough handling.
She does well with dogs larger than her, but before coming to rescue, she'd never really been around other dogs, so she tends to pick on smaller dogs. Any dog 40 pounds or larger she pretty much just ignores.
She is fully housetrained and has excellent manners. She stays loose and never gets into anything.
She knows a few commands, and is good on a leash, and although I very rarely recommend it, once she knows you, she's completely trustworthy off leash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brittney- Adopted, a Nashville Corgi/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Cairn Terrier for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Corgi/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Corgi/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
