Penelope's Story...
The shelter is no place for such a baby girl! She has never known anything other than the scary noises and concrete floor of the shelter. Won't you come show her how fun life can be in a loving family. She is approx. 6-8 weeks old. If you have questions about this little girl you can email Dana at daykahn@gmail.com. You can meet this special little lady at CAA Tues- Sun. 11-5 and Thurs til 7. Her adoption fee $100 that includes her spay, vaccinations, rabies tag and microchip.

All dogs in the adoption program are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Baton Rouge Doberman Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
