Dakota Rue's Story...
Hi Everybody! I am Dakota and I am one pretty 8 year old beagle girl who is looking for someone to love me, feed me (cuz us beagles like to eat!) and let me sit on their lap forever! My brother Bandit and I used to have a Mom who loved us so much, but she got sick and is now at the Rainbow Bridge taking care of all the angel dogs. Bandit and I were both scared when she left but then the great folks at AZBR said they would take care of us and love us a lot while we looked for a new home. We have a foster mom who is great and she loves us but we would like to have a family all of our own. Bandit and I get along great, but we talked and decided that we would be ok with different forever families as long as they love us to the moon and back and give us treats! My foster mom has taken some nice pictures of me so you can see how beautiful I am. She even let me sit on her pretty quilts while she took our pictures. I am a pretty quiet girl and a very good girl. I am so well behaved, I use the doggie door and we have a nice yard here. Sometimes I just like to sit out there and ponder life. Then Mom comes out and says it's time to eat and you should see how fast I can run then! Us little beagles don't ever want to be late for dinner! I do play with my toys sometimes, and sometimes Bandit and I will play a little, but my most favorite thing in the whole world is to be with my people- preferably on your lap so you can love me a bunch. I would sit on your lap all day long, so if it's a snuggly beagle you want, I'm the girl for you! I also have to sleep snuggled up tight to you. I am very quiet and you don't even know I'm there except for that little warm bundle of love you feel. I love to give lots of kisses and I don't mind if you give some back to me! I don't look or act like the age the papers say I am. You would think I was younger, although I do need a little boost up on the couch and the bed. Could you be my family who would love me and take care of me forever and let me snuggle up to you a lot?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota Rue, a Phoenix Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
