My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiki has not lived with small children so will only place her in a home where the children are 12 or older. She has been the beloved pet of an elderly woman that became incapable of caring for her any longer due to the owners health. She uses a doggy door, she will go into a crate if you put her in one but isn't fond of the crate. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and after sizing up a stranger she will warm up and be very affectionate. She is a very pretty girl. Her owner had her coat clippered short but it will grown back. She did this for ease of herself caring for Tiki. Longhair Dachshunds do not require lots of extra grooming, brush them thoroughly once a week paying extra attention to under their ears where mats will form if not brushed. Tiki is 7 years old, this is not even quite middle aged in Dachshunds that commonly live to be 16 and older.
