My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karly is a very sweet, happy, wiggly, energetic, playful, friendly, cuddly and quiet, black and white, ten-month-old, 35-pound female pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. This incredibly sweet girl gets along with every dog she meets and goes to the dog park regularly to run and play with the other dogs. Karly is living in a foster home with a bossy little Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier-mix, who she gets along with beautifully. She loves toys and tennis balls and will fetch until your arm is tired. She’s a quiet girl, so she will do fine in an apartment or condo. Karly is fully housebroken, non-destructive and crate-trained. She is full of tail wags and kisses. She even sleeps in bed with her foster mom … head on the pillow like a furry human. She’s excellent on leash and in the car. She knows sit, stay, learns incredibly quickly, and takes treats gently. Karly landed at Chicago Animal Care and Control after she was found tied to a fence. Wherever she came from, she must have had bad experiences with little children, because she’s afraid of them … She’s fine with older kids … best with age ten and over. She is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, micro-chipped, and on monthly heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits rescued pets of Lovin’ Life Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Karly, please fill in the adoption application at http://www.lovinliferescue.org/adoption/application.php and follow up by contacting Linda at linda@lovinliferescue.org or 312-636-1200. She is being fostered in Chicago, Illinois.
