RAIDEN's Story...
Raiden is a 6 year old cream colored Shiba-Inu. He is purebred and has an ID chip. Raiden has beautiful foxlike features, as you can see in the pictures. Due to life circumstances, Raiden’s family cannot keep him any longer. He is a very sweet dog, with a pleasant disposition and has been well loved and cared for. Raiden is a quiet dog. He only barks when there is a need to, such as when a stranger is actually coming up to the front door. He is lovable and cuddly, loves his ears scratched while he lays his head on your lap as you watch TV. Raiden is crate trained, and is very easy to live with. He has been taught basic commands like sit, shake, beg, “mine” (when a piece of food is put down, he won’t get it until he hears, “it’s yours…”). He is good on leash and even runs up to 3 miles currently with his owners. He does need a leash, as Shibas have a high prey drive and he may be tempted to chase. Raiden presently lives with children and cats and loves them all. Please help us find this special dog a new home. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RAIDEN, a Salem Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Salem, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
