Mitzy's Story...
Mitzy is a silly, sweet Pug. She is approximately 2 yrs. old, weighs about 12-15 lbs. and looks to have had a litter or two of puppys in the past. She was found wandering the highway, flea infested, and frightened. When no one came to claim her, MAS Rescue agreed to help her. She was quite traumatized, fearful in a strange place. We provided her with vaccinations, preventatives for parasites, heartworm testing, spay surgery, and micro-chipping. Once shy little Mitzy was out of the vets office, she was shy no more!! She plays with toys, loves her new foster family, and can't wait for a home of her own. If interested, please visit www.masrescue.org and fill in the dog adoption application. Adoption fee is $300.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mitzy, a Baltimore Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
