Bandit's Story...
Bandit is a male who is between 1 and 3 years old. Bandit is a sweet sweet boy and very attentive. He loves to be by his people and gets along well with other dogs. Bandit is not an alpha dog but is very playful. He has some herding instinct but has not shown much of this around the horses. He stays close to us and the other dogs when we are out on the farm. Bandit seems to like men more than women, but latches on quickly to his people once he gets to know them. He is not a barky dog and is very laid back. He is is short and stocky for an Aussie. He is good around children and enjoys playing and dancing to your feet. Bandit may prove to be a great agility dog, as he is very quick on his feet and enjoys lots of activity. Bandit is very confident and it appears that he has been well cared for before coming into rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
