Levi's Story...
Levi is an approximately six month old boy and quite graceful for still being a wiggly puppy; he shows signs that he would become a great running buddy with training and positive encouragement when he grows up. He is a fast-learner who's favorite phrase to hear is simply, "Good boy, Levi!" To which he positively wiggles from head to toe when he does something right. He plays well with his foster sister, big games of chase and herd and romping around the yard together. But, his favorite game is to squeeeeeeeaaaaak his favorite squeaky toy. Levi chases balls and frisbees, but fetching does not come naturally, although his foster family is trying to show him how much fun it can be. He came completely house-trained, and crate-trained (although he'd much prefer to be underfoot at all times than in his crate). He's had lots of visitors as his foster mom is renovating, so he has proven a handsome ambassador of the house with the electricians and other contractors who have come and gone. Quite a charmer! He will make a wonderful, devoted lifelong companion for someone who is ready for an adolescent lovebug. It is unknown if he would be good with cats, but the neighbor's bunny was veeery interesting (...for lunch). He seems interested in the neighborhood children without fear. Everyone is Levi's friend. Once he winds down his puppy energy, Levi is happy curled up under the coffee table as long as foster mom is sitting still. He follows her around devotedly, learning how to be a companion dog and trying to figure out how to get her to say, "Good boy, Levi!" as much as possible.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Levi, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
