This handsome boy is Henry. Him and his 5 littermates were found living in horrible conditions and the owners told us to 'just take them and do whatever you want with them'. The pups were all together in a tiny pen that was actually only big enough for 2 pups. They were not being fed very often and when they did get food- they fought each other for it so they all have scarring from that- so sad. Sometimes a few of them would break out of the pen and then the bigs dogs hanging around would jump them and injure the pups. We are treating them and trying to get them better socialized. They are only about 6 to 7 months old so they are young enough to still train and help them get over their horrible beginnings. Henry is one of the least shy ones and after I sat on the ground with them all for about an hour most all of them were trusting me more and giving me kisses. They all have great potential. They just need a family of their own. Their mother looked to be a lab/shepherd/husky mix- she was solid white and very sweet. We are working on getting her spayed so there will be no more pups born to these people. Henry currently weighs about 30 pounds so we expect him to be fairly large when grown. He will be neutered soon and up to date on all vet care. Thank you so much for considering one of our rescues. For more info- please email kelley.aasr@gmail.com

Rescue Group Info...
Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporters we use most often are Got Orphans Transport (www.gotransporters.com) and Alpha Dog (www.alphadogtransport.com).All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
