Reese's Story...
Reese is a 9 lb, 3 year old Chihuahua. Reese came to us from the Guernsey County Shelter where he was rescued as part of a criminal case. Reese is so happy to be in a home and has bonded strongly to his foster mom. Reese will need a home without cats as he loves to chase and snip at them. He is slightly fearful of men but will not bite them, he is just very timid. Reese is protective of his home environment and will need an experienced dog person to handle all his little quirks. He is an affectionate little dog that loves to snuggle with his special human. If you have room in your home and heart for this incredibly sweet little boy, please to www.codrl.com for an application to adopt or email adopt@codrl.com for additional information. Reese's adoption fee is $150 to help toward vetting. He is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and has had a dental.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reese, a Hilliard Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hilliard, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hilliard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hilliard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hilliard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hilliard paves the way for another one to be saved.
