Mickey's Story...
Meet Mickey! Mickey is an adorable tri-colored, 2 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua. Mickey and her mate Reese came to us after being rescued from a back yard breeder in Guernsey County. These little dogs were kept outside in a horse trailer. Mickey is incredibly sweet and LOVES to cuddle. She would make a wonderful companion and lap dog for any family. Mickey is using the doggy door to go outside at her foster home and loving life inside of a home. What Mickey really craves is her very own home. If you have room in your heart and home for Mickey, please go to www.codrl.com for an application to adopt or email adopt@codrl.com for additional information. Mickey's adoption fee is $225 to help toward vetting. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and had a dental.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a Hilliard Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hilliard, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hilliard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hilliard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hilliard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hilliard paves the way for another one to be saved.
