Rue's Story...
Rue is a very sweet 1-2 year old boxer mix. Rue was rescued by the Ohio SPCA where she was tied outside in single digit temperatures. Rue wasn't moving and nearly froze to death. This extremely friendly girl is so happy to be in a safe place, but she needs a home of her own. Rue is good with other dogs and kids. She loves to lie on her foster mom's bed and wrestle with her foster brother. Do you have room in your home and heart for Rue? Please go to www.codrl.com for an application to adopt or email adopt@codrl.com for additional information. Rue's adoption fee is a donation to rescue of at least $150 to help toward her vetting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rue, a Hilliard Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hilliard, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hilliard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hilliard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hilliard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hilliard paves the way for another one to be saved.
