found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered and up to date with shots.
This wonderful boy's mom went into hospice care and dad went to assisted living. Beauregard was living alone for 3 weeks in their
4000 sq ft home which was being emptied and catalogued for the estate sale. The floor was covered with the contents of the house. One of our volunteers dropped everything and drove to get him in the nick of time. They had to have him out of the house before the huge sale started. It was us or the shelter. Of course our volunteer fell in love with him during the week she had him before she could bring him down to me.
Here's what she wrote about him
> " When I went to pick him up he had been locked in an empty house for
> 3 weeks. Someone had come in and left clean water and a huge
> dish of food but no company for this lovely, people friendly boy.
> He so wanted to be petted but he was afraid of the new voices.

At 11 pounds Beauregard is a pretty big boy for a Persian - but not as big as he looks since he is mostly hair. And heart . He came to us in good shape and good health. We have his vet records which show him to have been a healthy, trouble free boy. Beau lets us fuss with him and wash his face. Like most Persian he needs a daily washing around his eyes. Brushing him is a little love session.
He has a little reserve in him. A little politeness and sadness. He has been through a lot recently and I expect his reserve is due to that. It is hard on a tender little persian boy to pick up all the sadness and grief and stress of his family's leaving their home and all that is involved in that. And of course he lost his family. It will be good for him to feel the love and rhythms of a new family and start his new life.
He originally lived with another cat and is cat friendly. I think he also would do well in a home as an only cat.
He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
