Jasmine is a 6 month old Pit Bull/Boxer mix that was rescued from an abusive owner. Despite her past treatment, she is the sweetest girl, who understands that people are there to love and give love. She has nerve damage to one leg that prevents her from straightening it out all the way, probably from an old injury that was not treated. To make her condition worse, she was starving. With antibiotics, steroids, soft bedding and a consistent diet, Jasmine is showing improvement and using her leg more now and she’s filling out nicely. She is so appreciative of all the care she is receiving and learning to trust that life is good now. She is protective of her food with other dogs but that is not unusual considering her past with starvation. She is not aggressive toward people at all and has a very loving spirit. Jasmine may have had a poor start to her short life so far but she is determined to not let it spoil her sweet temperament and to eventually find the family she was meant to a be part of.
