Missy's Story...
I am so confused, one minute I was sleeping in my bed and then next thing I know my mom dropped me at this scary place because she wants to go travel?!? I am 11 years old but I still have a lot of pep in my step. I love to snuggle and cuddle! I am heartworm neg and potty trained. I would love to go for walks with you or snuggle and watch movies on the couch. I weigh around 8 pounds. I am spayed and ready to go! My foster mom says I am the epitome of a lap dog and want nothing more than to be snuggled up close to you all the time! Contact her dana at daykahn@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
