Darby's Story...
Meet our sweet, loving and ever so adorable Darby. Darby became a member of HCW after he was dumped at a local gas station. After spending some time with Darby and consulting with our vet we have discovered he is 100% deaf. Although he is deaf it doesn't hinder him in any way. He is just as happy and outgoing as any 4 1/2 month old puppy. He is very affectionate, clumsy, and full of puppy love. Darby is currently in a foster home where he is learning house manners as well as potty training. He is crate trained, great with other dogs, and good with cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darby, a Russellville Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
