REX's Story...
Rex is a darling 5-6 month old Boxer mix that was found at a local school, dropped off with his little sister Jazee one cold winter day. He was dehydrated, hungry and very scared. A young girl, whose mother is a foster mom, saw Rex and his sister and knew they needed help. She would not hear “No” for an answer when she told her mom she was bringing them home to care for, and help them find a better place; a forever family that would never throw him away or desert him. This boy has cutest Boxer ears that look like they started to stand up but then fell forward and gave up! He has such a fun and funny face. Rex is the protector, the big brother, and he is very confident and outgoing. He is always checking on his little sister and making sure she is ok. He is very loving and wants to cuddle as much as possible. He really likes to play with the other dogs and doesn't realize he is going to be a big boy. He loves kids and has even tried to make friends with a cat. Rex is working on house training and crate training. He is very smart and loving and would love a family of his own! He probably will grow up to be about 60 pounds as an adult dog. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

REX, a Salem Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Salem, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
