RUDY's Story...
Meet Rudy, a handsome 6 year old Australian Shepherd weighing about 70 pounds. He was heartlessly left behind when his owners moved away. Some of the neighbors were feeding him occasionally but that’s no life for this loving dog. Rudy is very friendly, easy to train and loves attention. It is in his nature to herd, so a home with cats would not be a good idea for him. Rudy would love a fenced yard where he can run and get out his energy. He also walks well on a leash. Rudy is an HHS dog. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RUDY, a Hagerstown Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
