Chanel's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Chanel's Story...
Chanel is a Shih Tzu born in 2005 who came to Kiko with Dior, a Bichon Frisé born in 2006. Both dogs have been very much loved and well taken care of, but their primary caregiver has health issues that necessitate a new home for these lovely girls. We were hoping to be able to place them together but will also consider adopting them out separately. Chanel does not have any health issues and is used to visiting both the vet and groomer regularly to keep her looking and feeling her best. The ideal home that we are looking for will be with either a single or couple who is semi-retired or home a lot, or a quiet family with children 13 years of age and up.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chanel, a Rigaud Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
