My story

Hi, my name is Sugar. Just as my name suggests, I am a very sweet puppy with A LOT of puppy love to give the right person who can give me a home. When I was found in an apartment complex, I was a mess but I have been given a clean bill of health by my Vet now. I had a very deep cut in one of my back paws that required surgery and staples, there were deep abrasions around my neck (most likely from where I escaped) and I was very, very hungry. I spent three weeks at the Animal Hospital where I could heal properly and I came to really love the kind people who took care of me there. While there I was spayed, received all my shots and tested negative for heart worms and parvo. The Vet said he thought I was between 12 to 18 months old but probably a little bit on the younger end of that. My favorite things are chew bones, peanut butter-stuffed Kongs, my stuffed monkey, rolling on my back and giving hugs and kisses. I'm very smart and have been learning to follow commands and I am now crate-trained. I am still getting the hang of housetraining. I require some exercise and playtime every day as I am still a puppy with a bit of energy to run off. Having some room to play is necessary for me. I really love meeting other dogs and kids to be friends with, but I’m not that good with cats. I'm loyal and lovable and you won't regret choosing me as your new best friend.
