Peanut's Story...
Our wonderful little Peanut is one of those little pearls that comes along every so often. He was found as a timid, unrecognizable matted mess along a quiet country road and has blossomed into a most delightful little dog who endears himself to everyone he meets. Peanut has embraced his renewed life with all his heart and soul, as can be seen in his affectionate manner and confident trot. He appears to be a good part Schnauzer, with probably a little Shih Tzu thrown in for good measure to account for his shorter stature. Peanut's age was estimated to be about 5 years and he is a little stocky, but his relentless love of retrieving his ball has been helping to shed those unwanted pounds. This is one very special little man who will bring many years of smiles to just the right family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Rigaud Schnauzer (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Shih Tzu for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
