Bella's Story...
Bella is a gorgeous, purebred, female Border Collie. She is around one year old. She has a wonderful long coat that is growing back in, she had to have mats shaved out. Bella is a gentle soul who is more of a therapy type of dog than a herding type of dog. She is still young enough to be playful with other dogs but much prefers the attention of people. She is ok with cats too. She is house trained and crate trained but, she'd rather sleep on the bed than crate. She has good manners, doesn't jump on people, surf counters or bark. Bella is about 30 pounds and should put on another 5 pounds. She is particular about what she eats and won't eat just any dog food. Bella is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, heartworm free and started on preventatives. Her adoption fee is $350. Please email LittleHouseRescue@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Delano Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Delano, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Delano.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delano already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delano breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delano paves the way for another one to be saved.
