Maui's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Maui's Story...
Maui is a very special girl because she is confirmed Feline Leukemia positive. Due to her status she was supposed to be immediately euthanized at Chicago Animal Care and Control where she was surrendered with her sister. Luckily CARF was in the right place at the right time and was able to grab Maui and her sister who has since been adopted. Maui is an affectionate and loving girl who would love a home capable of caring for a Felv positive kitty. She has a lot of life left to live and deserves a home of her own. She is currently living in isolation at a vet and will be paired with another Felv positive kitty newly rescued from CACC as soon as she is confirmed positive. Maui's adoption fee of $125 includes her spay, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maui, a Chicago Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
